In the early 1870`s Josef Bergmann came to Laupheim and founded a hair trade business. Over the
years the trade grew and the initial operations turned into a major factory setup.

The product portfolio at this time contained plaits, beards, toupees, theatre wigs andthe service
of hair preparation like dyeing and coloring. Fancy: watch chains and other ornements made out of human hair as a resemblance to your loved ones or family.
